A “plane” disaster

Nathan fought wildly to control the Cessna162 as it fell from the sky. He was 17 and had gotten his pilots license a year earlier.

Now as Nathan gained control of the plane it ran out of fuel. “Oh come on!” he yelled. Then a stroke of luck. He spotted an island to his left and carefully turned the plane towards it.

Hiccup started to draw a picture in the ground while Toothless slept. They had come down to the cove to do something but soon got bored doing it. What nether of them expected was about to hit.

The plane stalled once and started to dive towards a lake on the island. “No, No, No!” Nathan yelled, pulling back on the stick to no avail. He adopted the crash position, but not before spotting a person on the beach. The propeller having stopped whined like an air raid siren.

Hiccup head the whine and looked up to see something flying right at them. He dropped to the ground as the plane hit the water. The impact of the crash ripped off the right wing and flipped the plane over. As it started to sink Nathan ripped off the seat belt and, after climbing through the window and grabbing his water-proof backpack, swam to the surface.

Toothless woke up to the sound of the crash and saw him floating out on the lake, little bits of stuff floating around him. “What is this?” Toothless thought. “What happened?”

As the sound of the crash faded away and the sound of some one trying to swim came to Hiccups ears he looked up. There, in the middle of the lake, was something astounding. A man holding on to a floating piece of what looks like metal. There was a sudden splash and Hiccup looked over to see Toothless swimming towards the man. “Well looks like one of us has some sense.” He thought, standing up to get a better view.

Nathan saw Toothless coming towards him but his mind didn’t care where he was. All he wanted was to get out of the water. It didn’t seem possible that the lake wasn’t ice. As toothless got to Nathan he grabbed on and held tight. “That’s it, stay with us.”

With strong strokes Toothless was able to keep them above the surface but Nathan couldn’t hold on much longer.
